Our New Home Construction Process

During our first meeting we spend the time in discovery to learn about your lifestyle, your dreams and your living requirements so we can get a clear understanding of what you want your dream home to be like.

Our plan designer will take your dreams and put them to paper, designing the ideal spaces and flow of rooms that fit your vision. Then we present these preliminary plans to you for questions, comments, and changes.

Once approved and during the final presentations of the layout plans, we spend more time with you asking additional questions to discover your ideal for what you would like to see in your home regarding materials, appliances, and other types of finishes.

Now moving into the final phases of the planning process, we review the cost of the project with you, and go over allowances for appliances and finishes, etc. We pride ourselves on providing our clients with accurate estimates and allowances.

We will recommend an interior designer who will personally line up with you to assist you in the selection process.

Next, we will give you schedule documents, showing when various selections will be necessary and to let you know when your project will be completed.

Throughout the construction process, we meet with you on-site weekly to discuss selections, scheduling progress, concerns or changes.

When the construction is complete, we meet with you for an on-site walk-through of your new custom home to go over final figures and to do a quality inspection to address any concerns and compile a list of items needing to be done. This is referred to as a punch list.

In our final meeting, we’ll address the punch list items that are now completed, and go over how to operate various mechanics in the home, answering any questions that arise.

We pride ourselves on being available by phone or email to answer each and every question within a short time frame. Once the project is finished, we work with our clients to ensure that warranties are filled out and that proper care of their new custom home is reviewed and understood.
